End of Year Letter 2018

Dear Parents and Guardians

I am writing to you to wish you all an enjoyable and peaceful holiday, and I hope all our children, staff and parents return back to school safe and refreshed!

School finishes on Friday 20th July (tomorrow) at 1.30pm.
We return on Monday 3rd September 2018. (Staff training day on Friday 31st August 2018).

We wish Year 6 all the very best for the future, as they have all worked extremely hard, and are a credit to their families. They have made a huge impact on our school, with the progress they have made and their fantastic SATs results, and their achievements in sport, drama and music.

For the past four years, we have achieved the Gold mark for PE and sport in our school, and this year it has been announced that we are one of the first schools in the country to achieve the Platinum Mark, which is an astonishing achievement by our staff and children at Sacred Heart.

Congratulations also to our Girls Football team, who won the first ever girls football league for Wyre schools- this is an incredible achievement. Congratulations also to our school Athletics Team for coming second at the District Schools Athletics tournament, to our Rounders teams for finishing second and third at the District Schools Rounders Tournament, and to our Boccia team for finishing second at the Wyre Boccia tournament. This is an excellent way to finish our sporting year.

We have seen much progress by our children this year, both in and out of the classroom. We have seen many children participate in so many activities offered by our staff, a hugely successful Lion King production, wonderful performances at the Opera House and Last Choir Standing, excellent performances at our music concerts and lots of sporting success as individuals and teams.

Thank you also to the generosity of our families, with the collections for Mission Together throughout the year, to recently raising over £1700 with our Race For Life, for Cancer Research.

Have a wonderful summer!

Yours sincerely

Mr P. Eaton
