Writing competition

Each year, during book week, the school will hold a literacy competition in remembrance of Mr Crampin, an English teacher who supported the pupils at Sacred Heart with their reading and writing. Mr Crampin kindly donated some money to the school when he passed away last year. This year a writing competition was held. The staff at Thornton Library helped by Mrs Brodrick judged the entries and the results are as folllows:

  • Overall Winner for Foundation and Key Stage One: Lily
  • 1st Runner-up: Matthew H
  • 2nd Runner-up: Daniel R
  • Overall Winner for years 3/4: Dylan A
  • 1st Runner-up: Lewis
  • 2nd Runner-up: Caitlin T
  • Overall Winner for years 5/6: Owen
  • 1st Runner-up: Hannah
  • 2nd Runner-up: Kaitlin R
  • 3rd Runner-up: Jordan
