For Parents

Sacred Heart School

A close partnership established between school and home, is extremely important in contributing towards the success of our school. Parental involvement in school and liason with our whole community creates a warm, secure and happy family atmosphere. We believe that this is an essential element of our school and we cannot overstate the value we place on it.

At Sacred Heart School we operate an open door policy. Teachers are available before and after school to talk to parents. Parents can make an appointment to see the Headteacher or the Class teacher for a more serious concern.

We feel it is very important to embrace parents in all aspects of school life. We also value your views and annually a parental questionnaire is sent out as we are always striving to improve.

We feel it is very important to embrace parents in all aspects of school life. For example from supporting children with homework, attending school functions, assemblies and productions. We also value your views and annually a parental questionnaire is sent out as we are always striving to improve. In the school entrance there is a new book where we would welcome your comments or feedback.

Parents evenings are held twice per year. An informal evening in October - a getting to know you session and an overview of your child's new year. A progress evening is held in January for all children. School reports are sent out at the end of the Summer Term. If any concerns arise during the year teachers will always contact parents.
