November Newsletter

Welcome back to everyone after half term, and we are back to one of the busier half terms, on the lead up to Christmas.

We have several events coming up over the next half term, including the Ladies’ Evening, the Christmas Nativity and the Carol Concert, led by our Junior children, and the Dance Festival.

Tag rugby

Congratulations to our children for their performances at the FRUFC tag rugby tournament. They finished third overall, coming so close to winning the competition, but this was our best ever result and we are very proud of their skill, speed and sportsmanship.

Grandparents day

Thank you to all the grandparents who attended the event last month, and thank you to the adults who helped with the event. A special thank you to the children who organised and ran the whole event. They showed great endeavour and initiative throughout the afternoon.

Blackpool dance festival

Thank you to Mrs Rae for all her hard work, with support from several staff, as she prepares our dancers for the Blackpool Dance Festival on 24th November, at the Opera house.

We are hosting a Ladies’ Evening on Tuesday 17th November, at which there will be a Noosa fashion show, stalls for jewellery, candles, cakes and handbags and many other gift ideas. Clarins and Tropics will also be in attendance, and the jazz singer Simply Jack will also be entertaining.

Ladies can also treat themselves to beauty and therapy treatments at vastly reduced prices!

Tickets are available from school, at £7.50 each, and this also includes a choice of fresh poached salmon or quiches with salad, and a glass of bubbly! And free gift bag!

Reminders

Articles of jewellery are not allowed in school, they could cause injury to the wearer or another person. Earrings have been a constant source of argument and injury in the past. The Local Authority bans them for P.E. and swimming. The Governors of this school have ruled that no jewellery, other than a wrist watch, can be worn in school. Shoes must be worn as standard uniform. Please ensure all nail varnish is removed before attending school.

Lost property

Please can all property and clothing belonging to your children have their names written or sewn in.

Music

If there is any child who would like to learn to play the violin, guitar, keyboard, clarinet, flute or brass, please speak to Mr Eaton or Mrs Fairclough, and we can arrange this for you.

School meals
